Carrie Hope Fletcher: the West End star on why 2023 is shaping up to be her best year yet | We talk to Titanic The Musical’s Maury Yeston | The joy of tap, from 42nd Street to Anything Goes

In our third issue, June/July, we interview hugely popular actress, author and vlogger Carrie Hope Fletcher who explains why, despite being such a successful Musical Theatre performer since the age of seven, it is only now – in her 30th year – that she has felt the confidence to be herself onstage and set out on a solo tour for the very first time.

With tap-tastic musicals Crazy For You and 42nd Street both heading to London, we investigate why the dance form remains so popular and what is involved in bringing those adrenalin-filled production numbers we know and love to life. David Jays has been chatting to performers and creatives.

Titanic The Musical has set sail on a 10th-anniversary UK tour with producer Danielle Tarento and director Thom Southerland collaborating once again with legendary US composer Maury Yeston. Matt Wolf asks all three why the musical still captures audience’s imaginations.
