The musical version of the beloved teen movie is making fetch happen at the Savoy Theatre in the West End
Tina Fey’s pink extravaganza finally lands overseas. Directed by Casey Nicholaw with lyrics by Nell Benjamin and music by Jeff Richmond, the show is big and fun. Mean Girls is the epitome of commercial theatre, a project built to please an audience that knows they'll love the show even before purchasing their tickets.
A hilarious romp soaked in perfectly millennial nostalgia, it has secured its place as the most popular girl in the West End, dethroning Six and rivalling the likes of Mamma Mia! and Sister Act. While the exceptional production values don't extend to the quality of the wigs, it's a riotous night out featuring powerhouse performances across the company. Certified fetch entertainment.
