Carrie Hope Fletcher leads a foot-tappingly fun revival of the Wild West favourite

This enjoyably high-spirited revival of the 2014 Watermill production of Sammy Fain and Paul Francis Webster’s whip-crackin’ comedy classic takes a while to find its rhythm.

But once the comic and romantic misunderstandings start to pile up, Nikolai Foster and Nick Winston’s inventively low-tech, foot-tappingly fun production starts to work its magic, anchored by a likeably plucky central performance by Carrie Hope Fletcher and winningly backed by a very talented supporting cast of actor-musicians.

Calamity Jane tours the UK and Ireland until 27 September 2025. For more information and tickets, visit calamityjanemusical.com
