Jason Donovan is even funnier and flirtier as Frank-N-Furter than he was more than 25 years ago
Returning to the role of Frank-N-Furter after more than 25 years, Jason Donovan is even funnier and flirtier than he was the first time round. He appears to be having a ball in a show which, to paraphrase one of its songs, is the very definition of giving yourself over to absolute pleasure.
Rocky Horror Show is now into its 51st year and this production is the perfect celebration of its magnificent weirdness. It’s bold, brashy and hyperactive, and an exploration of sexual fluidity that was way before its time and now feels very much of the times. Leave your inhibitions at the door and surrender to its glorious silliness.
