Stalwarts of the stage Mazz Murray and Marisha Wallace are each set to star in their own one-woman concert

West End star Mazz Murray will pay tribute to the legendary Dusty Springfield in two special performances this November. Mazz Murray: The Music of Dusty Springfield – I Only Want to Be with You will be held at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on 21 November and the Adelphi Theatre in London on 26 November 2024.

Murray will perform Springfield's iconic hits, including ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’ and ‘Son of a Preacher Man’ accompanied by a live band. Murray previously portrayed Springfield in another tribute show – A Girl Called Dusty at the Duke of York’s Theatre. Back in our April/May 2024 issue, for our focus on Mamma Mia!, Murray expressed her excitement in revisiting the singer’s work: ‘I’m looking forward celebrating her uniqueness, her voice and her music’.

West End and Broadway star Marisha Wallace, meanwhile, is set to headline her largest solo show to date on Tuesday 11 March 2025 – again, at London’s Adelphi Theatre. The two-time Olivier Award nominee, best known for her standout roles in Waitress and Dreamgirls, as well as her recent stint as Miss Adelaide in Guys & Dolls at the Bridge Theatre, will be joined by soon-to-be-announced special guests for one night only.

Wallace, who received rave reviews for her role as Becky in Waitress at the same venue, expressed her excitement about returning to the Adelphi: ‘I am beyond excited to announce I will be returning to one of my favourite places for my biggest ever solo show.

Some very good friends will be joining me on stage for what will be an amazing night so I really cannot wait for this and I hope you can all come and join me!’
